Meet Your Event Coordinator
Nichelle discovered her passion for event planning while working in the hospitality industry, where she learned the value of service, precision, and unforgettable guest experiences. With more than a decade of hands-on experience, she founded Layen Gray Events in 2018 and has since built a reputation as a strong, reliable, and trusted professional within the Austin event industry.
In 2021, Nichelle joined the BL Events team, expanding her expertise by collaborating with top planners across the Austin Metroplex. Known as a true “jack of all trades,” she brings a calm and patient presence to every event, skillfully assessing needs, anticipating challenges, and often resolving issues before others even realize they exist.
Vendor partners throughout Austin appreciate Nichelle’s collaborative spirit and supportive approach, while clients consistently rave about her attention to detail, reassuring nature, and fun personality. The most common feedback she hears is “We didn’t have to worry about a thing,” and that is exactly how she believes every client experience should feel.
When she is not planning or coordinating events, Nichelle enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines and restaurants, reading, and actively serving in ministry with her church.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide the alcohol?
At this time, clients provide the alcohol. We gladly assist with drink planning, quantity recommendations, and shopping lists to ensure you are fully prepared for your event.
Can we customize our drink menu?
Absolutely. We offer both simple and premium signature drink packages, and we work closely with clients to create menus that align with the event theme, brand, or guest preferences.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance, especially during peak event seasons. However, we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests when availability allows.
What is included in your base bar service?
Our base service includes a 4-hour minimum with two professional bartenders, a curated selection of mixers, fruit garnishes, cups, napkins, bar tools, coolers, and ice. We handle setup, service, and breakdown so your event runs seamlessly.
What types of events do you service?
We specialize in corporate events, weddings, private parties, brand activations, and social gatherings throughout South Austin to San Antonio.
How do we secure our date?
Your date is secured with a signed service agreement and retainer. Once confirmed, our team will guide you through the planning process from start to finish.
